NGC 5317 (also listed as NGC 5364) is located approximately 55 million light years away in Virgo. The Galaxy is classified as having an incomplete ring structure. It also has rather loosely wound asymmetrical spiral arms making it a rather unusual.
NGC 5317 is gravitationally interacting with NGC 5363.
