NGC 289

NGC 289 is a spiral galaxy with an active nucleus. It is situated 70 million light years away in the constellation of Sculptor.
The Galaxy is larger than our Milky Way with regions of star burst activity and is low surface brightness. There are two inner spiral arms which split into multiple parts as they extend to the outer disk.
