NGC 1744

NGC 1744 is a late type barred spiral galaxy located 34 million light years away in the constellation of Lepus.
The galaxy is low surface brightness with the arms appearing weak and somewhat diffuse.
The bar is prominent and there are multiple dust lanes in the central region.
The galaxy appears within a dense field of distant background galaxies.
