NGC 1360 The Robin’s Egg Nebula
Located 1400 lightyears from here. NGC 1360 is a planetary nebula in the constellation of Fornax. It was identified as a planetary nebula due to its strong radiation in the OIII bands. Reddish matter Ionized Hydrogen is thought to have been ejected from the original star before its final collapse. It can be seen as the small red jets at the top and bottom of the “egg”.
