NGC 45

NGC 45
NGC 45

Located 25 million light years away NGC 45 is a spiral galaxy that while relatively large in the field of view but presents several challenges for astrophotographers. The galaxy is quite low surface brightness and there are two very bright stars proximate in the field of view.
Our data appears to show two tidal streams emanating from NGC 45, which we have not observed in other images.
Imaged in LRGB on our Planewave CDK 700 at Observatorio El Sauce, Chile.
