SH2 71 is a complex bi polar planetary nebula located in the constellation of Aquila.
It has generally been thought that the bright central star is the progenitor of this nebula.
More recently some astronomers have speculated that it might have originated from the very dim blue star above and to the right of the central star.
Others speculate that it is from the two binary stars in the central portion of the nebula.
