NGC 922 is a spiral galaxy located around 150 million light years away in Fornax. It is very small in the field of view making it rather difficult to image. The galaxy is the result of a collision of two galaxies. This triggered a ring which is active with the formation of new stars and a very impressive jet emanating from NGC 922.
