NGC 7205 is a barred spiral galaxy located 71 million light years away in the constellation of Tucana. The arms appear somewhat flocculent and there are prominent dust lanes as well as hydrogen alpha regions.
At the bottom right of the image is PGC 68083 also referenced as NGC 7205A a barred spiral galaxy with well defined arms at a distance of 340 million light years.
The second galaxy above NGC 7205 is the lenticular galaxy PGC 390644 at a distance of 540 million light years.
The field contains numerous distant background galaxies.
