NGC 6744 is an intermediate spiral galaxy about 30 million light-years away in the constellation Pavo. It is considered as a Milky Way mimic.

Imaged in LRGB and H alpha on our CDK 1000 (RGB RiDK 700) at El Sauce, Chile.

Outer edge of image is outside the FOV of the CDK 1000, data was used from the RiDK 700.
