NGC 5756 is a rarely imaged, barred spiral galaxy located approximately 100 million light years away in the constellation of Libra. The galaxy is rather dim at a B magnitude of 13 and a surface brightness of magnitude 23.4
It is classified as an emission line galaxy which is a type of galaxy with a strong emission in a given spectral range such as significant red shift. Often nuclear and starburst galaxies have very strong emission lines.
Imaged in LRGB on my Planewave CDK 1000 at Observatorio El Sauce, Chile.
