NGC 4535 is a barred spiral galaxy located approximately 55 million light years away in the constellation of Virgo and is one of the largest galaxies in the Virgo cluster.
Seen nearly face on with a prominent bar and numerous dust lanes NGC 4535 has a truly striking appearance with features ranging from bright blue young star clusters in the arms to the yellowish central bulge which contains older stars. The galaxy has a massive star population and numerous dust lanes.
