NGC 2935 is a barred spiral galaxy 125 million light years away. It is relatively small in the apparent field of view and not often imaged. The estimated diameter of NGC 2935 is 37,250 light years making it considerably small than our galaxy.
The image features numerous background galaxies in the field.
Imaged in LRGB and H alpha on our Planewave CDK 1000 at Observatorio El Sauce, Chile.
