NGC 2775

NGC 2775 is a flocculent spiral galaxy situated 67 million light years away in Cancer. It is yet another rarely imaged galaxy in astrophotography.
There is a massive dust halo surrounding the galaxy and a faint outer halo beyond that.
The arms of the main portion of the galaxy have numerous star forming regions interspersed with dust lanes with the central part of the galaxy apparently devoid of new star formation.
Imaged in LRGB on our Planewave CDK 1000 at Observatorio El Sauce, Chile.
