
NGC 2263 is a barred Spiral Galaxy 138 million light years away in the constellation of Canis Major.
At magnitude 13 the galaxy is relatively faint and has been rarely imaged.
The galaxy features a large central area with a well defined nucleus and loose spiral arms. There are a number of star forming regions evident with in the arms.
