NGC 1514 is a planetary nebula 1520 light years away in the constellation of Taurus.
The nebula features a binary central star with an orbital period of 9 years which has allowed extensive study of the stars behavior.
At 2×2’ in the field of view it is a challenging object for the CDK 14 telescope.
