NGC 1385 is a barred spiral galaxy located 65 million light years away in the constellation of Fornax.
The galaxy is seen face on and appears quite messy. The arms are not well defined and are mixed together., there are multiple dust lanes as well as H alpha regions and an extended halo.
The galaxy has been rarely imaged in astrophotography.
Imaged in LRGB on my Planewave CDK 1000 at Observatorio El Sauce, Chile.
