NGC 1357 is a barred spiral galaxy located approximately 99 million light years away in the constellation of Eridanus.
The galaxy has a bright central region with bright arms towards the center and is relatively low surface brightness in the dusty outer regions.
The small spiral galaxy in the image is PGC 933903 which is over 500 million light years away.
