VDB 9
VDB 9 is a reflection nebula. The area includes two different kinds of nebula. One of which is the reflection nebula, which is a dust cloud that is lit by the reflected light of nearby star and second is a dark nebula region where dust clouds are so cold and compressed that they absorb all of the light coming from background star. This makes for a very interesting visual contrast in the observed field.
