VdB 109 is a reflection nebula in the constellation of the Ophiuchus. It is lo-cated in the southern part of the constellation, north of the Rho Ophiuchi Complex, a large molecular cloud where stellar formation processes are active. VdB 109 is a very faint nebula veil extending in front of the star HD 150416, a magnitude 4.93 giant of spectral class G8III. The parallax meas-urements of this star indicate a distance of approximately 391 light years from the solar system. This distance is compatible with that of the Cloud of Rho Ophiuchi and the dark clouds associated with it.
