SH2 68 often nicknamed The Flaming Skull Nebula is an ancient planetary nebula estimated to be around 45000 years old.
The white dwarf star at the center of the planetary nebula is unusual as it is moving rapidly through space in an area of our galaxy where there is a high concentration of dust and gas. This causes the gas which is blowing off the star to blow back.
