IC4785 is a very rarely imaged barred spiral galaxy 173 million light years from here in the constellation of Pavo. The galaxy has a somewhat irregular shape indicating probable past interaction with another galaxy and a relatively bright nuclear area. The galaxy is from our view point located in a very dense star field with IFN causing some color extinction.
Imaged in LRGB on our Planewave CDK 1000 at Observatorio El Sauce, Chile.
