IC 1993 is an intermediate barred spiral galaxy in the constellation of Fornax, it is situated approximately 46 million light years from here.
At around 2×2’ in the field of view the galaxy is quite small and has relatively low surface brightness.
The galaxy is seen face on and has a distinct dust halo and an apparent outer ring.
