Hickson Compact Galaxy Group 16 consists of NGC 835,833,838 and 839.
It is located 175 million light years away in the constellation of Cetus.
There is clear interaction and a possible merger occurring between the spiral galaxies NGC 833 and NGC 835.
While not part of Hickson 16 at the top right of the frame is NGC 848, a spiral galaxy at a distance of 170 million light years.
