Hickson’s Compact Galaxy Group 23 is located around 288 million light years away in the constellation of Eridanus.
The group consists of NGC 1215 at the center, a spiral galaxy, NGC 1214 a lenticular galaxy top right, NGC 1216 a lenticular galaxy bottom left and PGC 11673 a spiral galaxy bottom right.
There are a number of small very distant background galaxies in the field.
