M65 and M66
Forming 2/3 of the Leo Triplet M65 is an intermediate spiral galaxy approximately 35 million light years from here in Leo. M66 is an intermediate elliptical galaxy located approximately 36 million light years way. Both galaxies show evidence of distortion and interaction.
This was an interesting target for us as it is quite low altitude from our location in Chile.
