NGC 7314 is a spiral galaxy located 55 million light years away in Pisces Austrinus.
The galaxy contains a low mass active galactic nucleus and has a black hole the mass of which has not yet been determined.
A number of x ray studies have been carried out due to the discovery of rapid variability of several narrow emission lines in the galaxy.
