M 104 is a spiral galaxy in the constellation of Virgo located around 29 million light years from here. The Galaxy get its nickname The Sombrero Galaxy from its appearance in some of the early images that were taken. M104 is seen almost edge on, but is tilted enough to show a bit of the disc and the core region.
