NGC 2782 is a peculiar spiral galaxy in Lynx that formed after a merger with another galaxy. The galaxy lies 75 million light years away from Earth. Originally classified as a Seyfert galaxy, further research identified four discrete clouds in the nucleus area, leading to the identification of this as a hot spot nucleus galaxy.
