Cosmic Dust Up
Barnard 228
This two panel mosaic covers Barnard 228 a dark nebula which is part of the Lupus Molecular Cloud and is situated only 500 light years away from Earth.
It is a large region spanning 8 degrees in the night sky. The nebula is often referred to as The Dark Wolf Nebula as there is a silhouette that looks very much like a wolf contained within the cloud.
