Nestled in Hydra 22 million light years from here, NGC 3621 is a Field Spiral Galaxy.
The galaxy is characterized by a bright bulgeless disk and wide spread relatively faint spiral arms. Due to the sparse nature of the spiral arms brighter stars have been resolved and used for distance calculations.
