NGC 7814 is a spiral galaxy seen edge on inn the constellation of Pegasus.
It is often referred to as the Little Sombrero Galaxy due to its resemblance to M 104. It is actually the same size but is located further away at a distance of 56 million light years rendering it small in the field of view.
The galaxy spans approximately 60,000 light years and has a bright central bulge and a very bright halo of gas extending far out into space.
The spiral arms are not really visible given that the galaxy is seen edge on although at the extreme ends some faint blue aspects can be seen, there are multiple dark streaks of dusty material visible throughout the galaxy.
