SL 17 is a dark nebula composed of dense dust and molecular gas in the constellation of Scorpius.
It is often referred to as the Dark Wolf Nebula, but to my eye looks more like a mythical beast crawling out of a pit.

Imaged in LRGB and Hydrogen Alpha on my Planewave DR 350 at Observatorio El Sauce, Chile.
