NGC 782 is a barred spiral galaxy 288 million light years away (based on NED database red shift information) in the constellation Eridanus.
The galaxy is small in the apparent field of view at 2×1’.
The galaxy appears in Arp-Madore Catalogue of Southern Peculiar Galaxies & Associations as AM 0155-580. It is considered peculiar as it is a three armed spiral.
