NGC 4027 is a barred spiral galaxy 83 million light years away in Corvus. It is classed as a peculiar galaxy due to the asymmetrical arm structure. The galaxy is considered part of the group that includes the better know NGC 4038/4039. In the field of view the galaxy is quite small covering 2×3’. NGC 4027 has been very rarely imaged.
Imaged in LRGB at Observatorio El Sauce on our PlaneWave CDK 1000 for luminance and CDK 700 for RGB.
Integration Time: 15.5 hours Luminance, 8 hours per channel RGB.
