NGC 2146 is a peculiar spiral starburst galaxy in Camelopardalis. It is characterized with a dusty spiral arm that loops in front of the galaxy’s core. This is likely caused by interaction with a neighboring galaxy. There are clear areas of intense star formation visible.
NGC 2146 is located 70 million light years from here.
