NGC 602 is a cluster of blue stars in the Small Magellanic Cloud. The area as imaged in Narrowband and RGB presents myriad gas cloud regions. The immediate area around NGC 602 in the left of the frame was formed when a large gas cloud collapsed under gravity and became very dense. The very high levels of radiation from the young blue stars have sculpted the nebular region.
Imaged in RGB H alpha and Oxygen III on our Planewave DR 350 at Observatorio El Sauce, Chile.
