NGC 4535 is a barred spiral galaxy located approximately 55 million light years away in Virgo and is one of the largest galaxies in the Virgo cluster.
Seen nearly face on with a prominent bar and numerous dust lanes NGC 4535 has a truly striking appearance with features ranging from bright blue young star clusters in the arms to the yellowish central bulge which contains older stars.
